Air transportation, simulation and modeling, airport engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure systems, advanced traffic signal operations

Background

Prior to joining the ATSL, Osama worked as a civil site engineer in Qatar, where he supervised highway construction activity, including earthwork, barriers, and landscaping. Osama also has experience in highway design and estimation, geometric design, surveying and client interaction. Osama has experience working in Qatar and Saudi Arabia and holds memberships in both the Jordanian Engineers Association and the Saudi Council of Engineers. He is a native Arabic speaker and proficient in the AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, PROKON and MATLAB software packages.

Osama currently serves as the Vice-President of ATES, the Alliance of Transportation Engineering Students at Virginia Tech.
